“He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.”
These are the words posted to the memorial site of a Google Executive who died of a heroin overdose administered by a prostitute. This leader and family man made a mistake that cost him his life. Did this act abrogate his memory as a leader? Many only knew him from his last act, but it’s important to note that for so many others his memory is much more.
Show me one who hasn’t made a mistake and I’ll show you one who isn’t real.
Some mistakes are considered more notable than others but what is the underlying conflict that initiates the actions? This is the question we must ask about our life secrets and unspoken truths.
Each secret is attached to fear ~ That fear is attached to a memory ~ This memory is attached to pain.
This is a crucial point to remember before we judge others and ourselves.
